The Laboratory Incubator publications library has released a practical guide to establishing and licensing a laboratory, written for founders, investors and institutions entering the sector.

The guide works through choosing the legal structure and licensing route, laboratory layout and infrastructure design, cleanroom and containment requirements, equipment selection and qualification, staffing and competency, quality management system setup, the accreditation pathway, and the operating indicators that determine whether a laboratory is financially sustainable.
